Celebrities Flock to Boulder Ahead of Colorado-USC Game
In his first year as Colorado head coach, Deion Sanders has already made Boulder a destination for celebrities. That phenomenon peaked on Saturday, as the stars were out for Colorado’s home game vs. No. 8 USC at Noon ET.
A variety of big names from different industries showed up to the game, from Paul Pierce to Terrell Owens to CC Sabathia. Sanders also invited rapper DaBaby, who spoke to the football team on Friday night before the Buffaloes played their most anticipated home game in years.
The result was a star-studded sideline during the most prominent game of the first college football window.
The irony of it all is that the last time a team was this appealing to celebrities was USC, when Pete Carroll coached the Trojans in the mid-2000s.
Unfortunately for Colorado, this Buffaloes team doesn’t appear to be ready to compete with the best of the best in the country, as USC took a 34–14 lead into halftime. But the bevy of celebrities showing up to watch Colorado play shows how Sanders has changed the program in just less than a year at the helm.
