Caleb Williams Had the Saddest, Most Candid Response to USC’s Loss to Washington

The USC quarterback said what we’ve all thought after a rough day at work.

USC suffered yet another devastating loss Saturday night as its season continues to spiral. But the college football world didn’t just harp on the team’s struggles. It seems all anyone could talk about was star quarterback Caleb Williams and his emotional response to coming up short in another tough loss.

The signal-caller went viral when he was seen crying in the stands with his family after the 52–42 loss to No. 5 Washington and he proceeded to drop a gem of a quote when talking to reporters afterward.

“I want to go home and cuddle with my dog and watch some shows,” Williams said.

There’s not a soul alive who hasn’t had the same reaction after a rough day at work. And just like so many in the workforce, this particular bad day wasn’t his fault.

The Heisman-winner finished the shootout with 312 passing yards and three touchdowns but it wasn’t enough for No. 20 USC. The team has now lost three of its last four games and falls to 7–3 on the year.

Up next, USC will face No. 6 Oregon (8–1) on Saturday.
