During a recent interview with The Spun, Archie Manning stated that his grandson Arch Manning has no regrets about choosing to play for No. 7 Texas despite not appearing in a game so far this season.

While discussing a variety of topics with Chris Rosvolou, the celebrated father of Eli and Peyton Manning shared that his grandson Arch is “happy” to be a member of the Longhorns as he awaits his collegiate debut.

“Arch is happy with the decision he made,” said Manning. “All the reports we get is that he’s doing well. He’s going to get a redshirt out of this year, and I think that’s important.”

The eldest Manning emphasized how every situation is unique, alluding to how Peyton started immediately at Tennessee.

“Every situation is different,” said Manning.”If you remember, Peyton and Eli went to school early for spring training. Peyton got thrown in for his first game as a freshman. He played a great deal that season. Tennessee had a great offensive line and two really good running backs, so that allowed him to work into it.”

On the flip side, Archie also highlighted that Eli didn't start at Ole Miss until his junior season and how sitting and learning can be also be best course for his grandson to find success.

“Eli had what I think is the best course. He redshirt his first year, was a backup in his second year, and then started in his third year. I think it’s a big jump.”

The talented signal-caller will certainly get his chance to lead the Longhorns down the road.
