Angry Oklahoma Fans Tried to Sabotage Father of Outgoing Transfer’s Business With Bad Reviews
The transfer portal has taken on a life of its own in college football, as more players are transferring now than ever before. That amount of turnover can bring out the worst in some fan bases who are unhappy with certain transfer decisions.
This week, offensive tackle Cayden Green announced that he was transferring from Oklahoma to Missouri, which appeared to anger Sooners fans. As a result, some Oklahoma fans then gave Green’s father’s insurance business one-star reviews on Google.
Reginald Green noticed what was happening and responded to these recent reviews, some of which have since been deleted.
“Stop it!” Green said. “Don’t do this because my son chose to enter the transfer portal in football. You live in OK and have never done business with my office. This is a really bad look for the Oklahoma fan base. Be better.”
Cayden Green was a freshman who played in 11 games for the Sooners this season, starting five games at left guard. A former top high school recruit, Green represented one of the better offensive linemen to enter the transfer portal this year.
