Michigan Says Goodbye to Coach Jim Harbaugh With Touching Tribute Video

Jim Harbaugh was announced as the new coach of the Los Angeles Chargers on Wednesday, having agreed to a deal with the organization following nine seasons with the Michigan Wolverines.

The university bid farewell to their longtime football coach with an emotional tribute video, highlighting some of his best moments and thanking him for all he accomplished during his tenure with the program.

Harbaugh had been at Michigan since 2015, overseeing 114 games with the program and recording a .781 winning percentage. He led the Wolverines to a national championship victory this year, their first since 1997.

“Top to bottom, Michigan is about excellence. It’s about greatness. And you have my pledge, that I will carry forward that tradition of excellence of the University of Michigan football program,” said Harbaugh at the start of the video.

Harbaugh ends his tenure at Michigan with 86 wins, the fourth most in program history, trailing only Bo Schembechler, Fielding H. Yost, and Lloyd Carr.

With the 60-year-old returning to the NFL on the heels of the Wolverines’ College Football Playoff national title, the program showed its appreciation with the touching video tribute.
