ESPN’s College GameDay will look different next season, as the network is adding former Alabama head coach Nick Saban to the cast. Saban’s addition had many fans asking about Lee Corso’s status on the show, but ESPN clarified where things stand with Corso.

An ESPN spokesperson told The Athletic’s Richard Deitsch that Corso will return to College GameDay next season for his 37th year on the program.

Corso will be 89 years old when GameDay returns to TV next fall, but he has no plans on retiring yet. However, Corso has dealt with health issues over the past few years that have caused him to miss select episodes.

The veteran analyst explained that he wants to continue doing College GameDay as long as ESPN will have him.

“I’m gonna be like that guy in Vaudeville,” Corso told Alex Kirshner in a GQ profile last year. “They hook him around the neck, and they pull him off the stage as he keeps talking.”

With Corso returning and Saban joining, College GameDay will now feature six main panelists on the cast. Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee are all expected to return to the network next fall.
