Angel Reese Reacts to Caitlin Clark Breaking NCAA Scoring Record

The two college basketball stars dealt with some drama after the 2023 NCAA Division I title game.

LSU star Angel Reese congratulated her fellow college basketball icon, Iowa’s Caitlin Clark, on breaking the NCAA Division I women’s basketball scoring record on Thursday night.

Reese gave Clark her flowers on X, formerly known as Twitter, shortly after Clark scored her 3,528th point to break Kelsey Plum’s record.

“Congratulations @CaitlinClark22 KEEP BREAKING RECORDS & MAKING HER-STORY!” Reese wrote, adding yellow and black hearts and fire emojis.

The two players made news together last year as LSU beat Iowa 102–85 in the 2023 NCAA Division I title game last April.

The drama between the two stemmed from Clark’s celebration using John Cena’s “You Can’t See Me” in other March Madness games. Reese used this celebration against Clark in the national title game because the LSU star thought it was “disrespectful” to use it to other players. However, Reese received a lot of hate for doing this.

Clark addressed the issue shortly after saying Reese didn’t deserve criticism for giving her a taste of her own medicine.

A year later, both Clark and Reese once again find themselves on powerhouse teams heading into March.
