History was made at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Thursday night, as Iowa star Caitlin Clark became the most prolific scorer in women's college basketball history, breaking the NCAA's all-time points record, which was previously held by Las Vegas Aces star and Washington product Kelsey Plum.

Clark didn't make the 14,998 fans in attendance wait long to witness history, as she drained a three-pointer to break the record less than three minutes into the contest.

But not just any three.

A long, triple from the logo—a staple of Clark’s game—secured the record. After the contest, a 106–89 Iowa victory over Michigan, Clark spoke to reporters and dropped the perfect quote about the history-making trey, as shared by CBS Sports on X (formerly Twitter).

“Y’all knew I was gonna shoot a logo three for the record, come on now,” Clark said with a laugh.

What an epic quote from Clark.

Was there ever any doubt that the Iowa star, who leads the nation in three-pointers made, would not just break the record on a triple, but on an absurdly deep three-pointer?

There shouldn't have been, given her propensity to make such shots.

Clark is a threat to score the second she enters the zip code of a basketball gym—and now she can say she's done that better than any player in women's college basketball history
