This might be the wildest finish of the college basketball season.

Did anyone tune in to Saturday afternoon’s MAC tilt between 10–18 Western Michigan and 14–14 Ball State?

Anyone? No?

If not, you missed perhaps the best ending of the college basketball season.

With the game tied 76–76 and 1.6 second remaining in overtime, Western Michigan was inbounding under its own basket. Broncos guard JaVaughn Hannah threw a heave down the court that somehow made it through traffic untouched and on a bounce to forward Anthony Crump, who was all alone under the basket for a game-winning layup.

The Hail Mary play was so improbable that you have to see it for yourself.

Short of a MAC tournament title, neither one of these teams will be dancing in the NCAA tournament. But college basketball fans will be hard-pressed to find a better ending to a game this season than the one they saw on Saturday afternoon in Muncie, Ind.
