Zach Edey’s Postgame Interview With Tracy Wolfson After Purdue’s Win Led to So Many Jokes

Purdue's star big man sported quite the height difference with CBS Sports' top sideline reporter.

National Player of the Year Zach Edey and the Purdue Boilermakers secured their spot in the national championship game with a 63–50 win over NC State on Saturday night in Phoenix.

Edey finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds, and earned the privilege of doing the postgame interview with Tracy Wolfson of CBS Sports.

The takeaway? The 7'4" Edey is a tower compared to Wolfson, so much so that play-by-play announcer Ian Eagle said that they "ordered Wolfson a ladder" after the interview.

As anticipated, college basketball fans on social media jumped at the opportunity to crack as many jokes as they could with the television clips.

Here are some of the best reactions from across social media to Edey's postgame interview with Wolfson:

The Boilermakers will play the winner of Alabama and UConn on Monday night. Tip-off is set for 9:20 ET.
