The 2024 WNBA draft is set to begin Monday, and Iowa star guard Caitlin Clark is expected to be the No. 1 pick selected by the Indiana Fever.

Even though the Fever aren't literally on the clock yet, the WNBA is already banking on the expectation that Clark will be playing in Indiana. The Phoenix Mercury already posted an advertisement promoting the potential matchup between Diana Taurasi and Clark set for June 30 in Phoenix.

The Mercury have billed the matchup "The GOAT vs. The Rook." The game preview graphic shows a large image of Taurasi, a three-time WNBA champion, with a silhouette of a player assumed to be Clark wearing No. 22 below.

Ticketmaster currently shows the lowest single-ticket price for this game being $109. Some tickets are listed at over $800.

Taurasi recently was critiqued for some of her comments regarding rookies joining the WNBA in general a few days prior. The Mercury star said that "reality is coming" for Clark and other first-year players, and there is always a "transition period" for rookies in their first season.
