USC G Isaiah Collier Announces Intent to Declare for NBA Draft
Ahead of its accession to the Big Ten in July, USC's mass exodus is set to continue.
Trojans guard Isaiah Collier is entering the NBA draft, he told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Jonathan Givony on Wednesday morning.
Collier, 19, is widely considered a lottery-caliber prospect.
In his sole year with USC, Collier averaged 16.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. He was the Trojans' second-leading scorer behind guard Boogie Ellis; for his efforts, he was named to the Pac-12's All-Freshman team.
Despite a heralded roster that included guard Bronny James—the son of Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James, the NBA's all-time leading scorer—USC slumped to a 15-18 record, its worst since 2015.
After the season, Trojans coach Andy Enfield left for SMU as part of a chain reaction that led to Arkansas's shocking hire of Kentucky coach John Calipari.
Collier, lured to USC by Enfield, was a five-star recruit coming out of high school in Marietta, Ga.
