Baylor’s Scott Drew Found Perfect Way to Pay Tribute to Restaurant That Went Viral Over Kentucky Rumor

It's been quite a week for Mi Casita, a small restaurant located in Waco, Texas.

It all started April 10 when Baylor Bears men's basketball coach Scott Drew responded to rumors of him being a front-runner to land the open Kentucky job by posting a photo of himself in a restaurant booth.

Both Baylor and Kentucky fans quickly figured out which restaurant the coach was dining at. One Kentucky fan found Mi Casita's phone number, called the restaurant and asked if the waitress could tell Drew that the Wildcats need him in Lexington.

A few days later, Kentucky officially hired BYU's Mark Pope to serve as its next men's basketball coach. Drew remains at Baylor, where he has coached since 2003. And he now has a restaurant booth named after him in Waco to commemorate the chaotic pursuit by Kentucky fans.

"Respect my decision," he posted to social media Wednesday with a video of him signing the wall. The booth is now named "Drew's Table."
