So far, 2024 has been kind to South Carolina women's basketball coach Dawn Staley.

The Gamecocks boss shepherded her program to its third national title on April 7, defeating Iowa 87–75 and shoring up her resume as one of college basketball's great coaches.

It makes sense, then, that another one of '24's early big winners would reach out to offer her congratulations—none other than Beyoncé, one of the most celebrated musicians of her era.

"To Coach Staley and the entire South Carolina Gamecocks," Staley read in a video posted to social media Wednesday afternoon. "Me and my family watched your games and cheered you on through the entire season. I am so proud of you. All my love."

Staley then showed off the flowers and merchandise Beyoncé sent while "Texas Hold 'Em" from Cowboy Carter played in the background.

"It says 'Always Been Country,'" Staley said. "Well, guess what. I've been in the South for 16 years. I'm a little bit country, too."
