2024 Basketball Prospect Trentyn Flowers will Announce His Commitment March 17
Alabama basketball is still looking for its first 2024 commit, and the Crimson Tide may have one soon as Trentyn Flowers has set his commitment date for March 17 at 4:30 p.m. CT.
Flowers, a 5-star prospect from Huntington, W.Va., plays for Combine Academy in North Carolina, where he is the No. 20 player in the nation and the No. 2 player in the state.
In addition to Alabama, Flowers is also choosing between Arkansas, Creighton, Kansas, Louisville and North Carolina.
At 6 feet, 8 inches and 210 pounds, Flowers loves to play above the rim and run the floor. He would be a major lob threat from the wing position along with the occasional acrobatic finish at the basket. With an Alabama offense that pushes the pace, Flowers would be a great fit in that regard.
On tape, the only area where Flowers doesn't appear to excel is perimeter shooting. His overall form is sufficient but his release is similar to that of a catapult. Getting his shot off won't be a problem with his height and elevation, but timing and accuracy could be something to watch going forward.
