Austin Peay State University announced its football team will make a first-ever appearance at Bryant-Denny Stadium when it visits Alabama on Nov. 19, 2022.

With it, Alabama has filled its 2020 schedule in terms of opponents and dates.

Crimson Tide is scheduled to open the season at home against Utah State on Sept. 3, visit Texas on Sept. 10, and host UL-Monroe on Sept 17.

In terms of conference play, Alabama is scheduled to host Auburn, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt as its SEC East crossover game. It'll travel to Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss, and Tennessee.

The Governors compete in the Football Championship Subdivision as part of the Ohio Valley Conference

"This trip to Tuscaloosa and Bryant-Denny Stadium will provide our student athletes another great opportunity to display their talents and the Austin Peay spirit on the national stage," Austin Peay athletics director Greald Harrison said in a release.  "Obviously games such as this are necessary to assist our department as we work hard to provide a premium student athlete experience for all of our sports.

"Scheduling these games takes much coordination and we would like to thank all those involved for assisting us as we took the necessary steps to make this opportunity possible."
