Alabama Makes a Strong Impression on 2027 Quarterback Brady Edmunds
Alabama football hosted a lot of young talent during its Junior Day last weekend, but few were as young as Brady Edmunds.
Edmunds is a quarterback in the 2027 recruiting class, meaning he won't even be in high school until the fall. Yet you would not know that standing next to him: the California native is 6 feet, 5 inches tall and 200 pounds.

He is early on the recruiting trail, but Edmunds told BamaCentral that Alabama made a strong impression on him.
"I was impressed to say the least," Edmunds said. "Alabama was one of my first visits, but it definitely set the bar high. Alabama is special."
In a word, Edmunds said his visit to Alabama was "awesome." He said that the culture especially stuck out to him, citing "how everyone from Coach Saban, to the assistant coaches, to the support staff are focused on every single detail both on and off the field."
Of the coaches Edmunds spoke to, he said he talked to offensive coordinator Tommy Rees the most. That makes a lot sense considering Rees, who was recently hired, will spearhead the offense and likely have a heavy input on offensive recruiting.
"We connected on his Southern California roots," Edmunds said about his conversation with Rees, who is a Los Angeles native. "My favorite part of the visit was spending time with coach Rees and the other quarterbacks in the QB room. Coach Rees showed some plays that will be installed in Alabama's offense and then quizzed us on the proper reads we should make under different situations."
Edmunds said he wants to return to Alabama for a camp in the summer. Outside of that, he said he will be attending camps at Florida and SMU with his quarterback coach Danny Hernandez. He also plans to visit Arizona State, the first school that has offered Edmunds.
