All Around The Capstone With the Experts on The Joe Gaither Show

Alabama athletics has a huge weekend ahead on The Joe Gaither Show | Episode 177: Feb. 23, 2024.
In this story:

It was a huge Friday on "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral" as we went all around The Capstone with different BamaCentral experts to talk about the big Alabama athletics weekend ahead.

First, we open the show by closing loops from the previous few days. Former Alabama radio broadcaster Eli Gold has announced his new job, an Alabama basketball player got suspended and then we give our SEC basketball picks for the weekend.

The show moves on by welcoming BamaCentral's Katie Windham as she's covering several different sports at once. How has Alabama gymnastics utilized its unique scheduling to prepare for the stretch run of the season?

Windham then continues with a look into the Alabama softball program as head coach Patrick Murphy is off to an 11-0 start. The team doesn't have superstar pitcher Montana Fouts anymore so Windham tells us about who's handling the responsibility in the circle in her departure.

We say goodbye to Windham and welcome BamaCentral's Blake Byler before he heads to Lexington to cover the Crimson Tide basketball program this weekend. What is the Alabama program running into with the Wildcats coming off a heartbreaking midweek loss to LSU?

Byler gives his takes on hoops and more before we welcome BamaCentral's Will Miller to talk about the Alabama baseball program. New head coach Rob Vaughn is off to a 5-0 start and Miller tells us about the fresh faces in the Alabama outfield and discusses a key injury on the pitching staff.
