Countdown to Crimson Tide's 2023 Season Opener:
60 days.
Did You Notice?
• Fresh off signing his first NBA contract, Brandon Miller didn't get off to a good start in his Summer League debut. With the Hornets playing the Spurs in Sacramento, Miller finished with 18 points, five rebounds, three assists, six turnovers and seven fouls while shooting 5-of-11 from the field. However, he was just 1-for-7 from the field and 0-for-4 from 3-point range in the first half when he committed six fouls (players foul out with 10 fouls instead of six in Summer League games). The majority of Miller's points, 12, came in the fourth quarter. Regardless, the Spurs won 98-77.
• Charles Bediako played in the same game, for the Spurs, and tallied five points, three rebounds, three turnovers, with an assist and a steal, in just over 12 minutes of playing time.
• After re-signing with the Kings, Keon Ellis had six points, three rebounds, an assist, two steals, two turnovers and six fouls as Sacramento defeated Golden State, 100-94.
• Jalen Shackelford had 11 points and five rebounds over 22 minutes as Oklahoma City defeated Utah 95-85. He was also credited with an assist, one turnover and a foul.
