- With the final game of the Men's College World Series played the athletic season for the 2022-23 academic year came to a close.
- Hanna Gardner was named an assistant coach for the Alabama soccer team. Gardner joins the Crimson Tide with coaching experience in both the United Soccer League (USL) and the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). As a player at North Carolina she won a national title in 2012 and led the Tar Heels to a 2016 College Cup appearance while serving as team captain. “We are thrilled to add Hanna to the Bama soccer family,” head coach Wes Hart said. “She has a wealth of experience and knowledge that will help our program continue to grow. Hanna is young, energetic and eager to both teach and learn. She is one of the top young coaches in the country and a huge addition to our staff.”
- Alabama swimmers Kensey McMahon and Derek Maas will compete at this week's 2023 Phillips 66 National Championships at the Indiana University Natatorium. The five-day meet will be used to create the United States roster for four major international competitions.

June 27, 1964: Mississippi State assistant coach Ken Donahue was hired to replace Jim Blevins, who left Alabama to become the head coach at Jacksonville State.
