How Can Bama Threaten the Dawgs on The Joe Gaither Show
Happy hump day on "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral". Let's start looking ahead to the weekend, talk about a coaching search and discuss the Crimson Tide's poor play on the hardwood.
We start by welcoming in Anthony Dasher of UGAsports.com to talk about this weekend's SEC Championship Game. Dasher lets us know how this year's Georgia Bulldogs team is different than the last two years teams that walked away with national championships.
The Bulldogs have a new face under center in Carson Beck, how has Georgia worked through implementing a new starting quarterback this year and how prepared will he be for a championship environment?
Dasher gives an update on Georgia's health as the SEC East program has dealt with various injuries all season long. The Dawgs don't have a defensive superstar as they've had in the past but the defense looks just as strong as the last few seasons.
The Bulldogs started the season off slowly with close victories against inferior opponents, but have come on strong as of late with big wins down the stretch. Is there any way for the Crimson Tide to challenge Georgia and derail a Bulldog three-peat?
We welcome Kensi Bradenberg into the show to talk about Mississippi State. The Cowbell Corner corespondent lets us know about the Bulldogs new football coach as they hired Jeff Lebby away from Oklahoma. Lebby's spent some time in Mississippi with Ole Miss so we decide what he'll need to do to jumpstart the program.
Lastly we discuss last night's college football playoff rankings as the Crimson Tide still sit at No. 8. Could Alabama really be left out even if they're able to beat the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday?
We finish with the Crimson Tide basketball program that's been very fun to watch offensively this season but atrociously bad on defense. Alabama lost its second game in three outings last night, falling to the Clemson Tigers 85-77. Can head coach Nate Oats get the defensive issues fixed as competition continues to improve?
