How Good is Chattanooga with Gene Henley on The Joe Gaither Show

What kind of team is the Mocs on The Joe Gaither Show | Episode 122: Nov. 16, 2023.

The Thursday edition of "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral" is the most football centric episode of the week so far as we look ahead to Week 12.

We welcome Gene Henley of the Chattanooga Times-Free Press to talk about the UTC Mocs.

Surprisingly the two programs are both in similar situations in their own divisions. The Mocs are ranked No. 16 in the FCS polls and on the bubble for the playoffs after finishing second in the Southern Conference this year behind No. 2 Furman.

Chattanooga comes in with a well balanced passing attack with quarterback Chase Artopoeus and a nice compliment of receivers. Henly joins the program to let us know what a successful day would look like from a Chattanooga perspective as the Mocs understand they're a 45-point underdog.

We then jump to CowbellCorner.com and welcome in Kensi Brandenburg to talk about the latest goings on in Starkville. They've fired first-year head coach Zach Arnett and have two games left to make something out of 2023. What is realistic for the Bulldogs to expect out of their next head coach?

Lastly the State men's basketball team has started out 3-0 along with several other sports in Starkville as Brandenburg rings the cowbell for some of the other programs.

The program finishes up with a visit from Joey Van Zummeren of MizzouCentral.com as we discuss the Tigers magical season. Sure, Missouri didn't beat Georgia or LSU but instead has knocked off every other opponent and in contention for a New Year's 6 Bowl.

Van Zummeren lets us know the keys to Drinkwitz's success and what's the outcome will be this weekend against the Florida Gators.
