For No. 2 Alabama basketball, the magic number has shrunk down to just one.

On Wednesday night, the Auburn Tigers come to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to take on the Crimson Tide inside Coleman Coliseum. While Alabama would win the SEC regular-season title with a win, there's nothing that the Tigers would enjoy more than spoiling the Crimson Tide's conference title hopes.

Win or lose, Alabama would still have the opportunity to win the conference outright in its game at Texas A&M this coming weekend. However, a win over Auburn in front of a home crowd is something that the Crimson Tide players would much prefer.

Alabama and Auburn last met back on Feb. 11 at Neville Arena, with the Crimson Tide emerging victorious with a 77-69 victory. Since that game, Alabama has gone 3-1 while Auburn has gone 2-2.

Here's everything you need to know about this Wednesday's game:

Last Meeting: Back on Feb. 11, Alabama and Auburn clashed at Neville Arena. The game was a clinic off effort, with both teams fighting back and forth across the game's entirety. Despite the game being tied 37-37 at halftime, the Crimson Tide ultimately prevailed with a 77-69 victory.

Among Alabama's four double-digit scorers, Rylan Griffen led the way with his 16 points. Noah Clowney led the team with seven rebounds, with Mark Sears and Brandon Miller tying for second with six apiece.

Last Time Out, Alabama: Despite trailing by nine points at halftime, a 58-point second half was enough for Alabama to overcome and defeat Arkansas, 86-83. Brandon Miller led the way with 24 points, but 16 points and seven assists from Jahvon Quinerly combined with 10 points and 13 rebounds from Noah Clowney went a long way in helping the Crimson Tide stave off the Razorbacks.

Last time out, Auburn: The Tigers were no match for the Kentucky Wildcats on the road as Auburn was drummed at Rupp Arena, 86-54. Four double-digit scorers for Kentucky — including 22 points from Oscar Tshiebwe and 21 from Antonio Reeves — drove the Tigers out of Lexington for their fifth loss out of the last seven games.
