Instant Analysis - 2023 A-Day Edition: Crimson Team 30, White Team 21

The BamaCentral crew break down the Crimson Team's 30-21 win over the White Team at the 2023 A-Day Game.
In this story:

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — After the White Team jumped out in front in the first quarter, the rest of the 2023 A-Day Game belonged to the Crimson Team as it took down White, 30-21.

A total of 58,710 fans were in attendance inside Bryant-Denny Stadium to watch the event.

White Team quarterback Jalen Milroe scored the first touchdown of the game when he rushed the football 35 yards into the end zone in the first quarter. However, the Crimson Tide responded by scoring 20 unanswered points — including back-to-back touchdowns by freshman running back Justice Haynes.

A 36-yard touchdown reception from Milroe to wide receiver Emmanuel Henderson Jr. in the third quarter pulled the White Team back within six, but a third touchdown of the afternoon for Haynes and a field goal propelled the Crimson Team back out to a 16-point lead.

A final 9-yard touchdown pass from Milroe to wide receiver Malik Benson was the last score for either side, and the Crimson Team triumphed 30-21 and will be dining on steak and potatoes on Monday evening.

Year after year, A-Day answers many questions while simultaneously raising a few more. Follow along at BamaCentral for Alabama football coverage as spring turns into summer and football season continues its approach.
