Henry To'oTo'o was set to participate in the 2023 Senior Bowl, but news broke today that the former Alabama linebacker has withdrawn from the event due to an undisclosed injury.

To'oTo'o was the starting middle linebacker for the Alabama defense, where he finished with 94 total tackles (second on the team behind DeMarcco Hellams), eight tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks in 13 games. He is one of the many defensive starters to leave Tuscaloosa for the NFL.

This is the second Alabama player to pull out of the Senior Bowl, the first being safety Jordan Battle. That now leaves six former Alabama players to participate in the Senior Bowl: DeMarcco Hellams, DJ Dale, Emil Ekiyor, Byron Young, Tyler Steen and Cam Latu.

To'oTo'o's college career started in Knoxville, where he played for the University of Tennessee. He then transferred to Alabama to play his final two collegiate seasons.

According to ESPN, To'oTo'o is the fourth-ranked linebacker prospect in the 2023 class, sitting behind Drew Sanders, Trenton Simpson and Jack Campbell. Most mock drafts have him going anywhere from late in the second round to the fourth round.

Injuries are one of the biggest red flags a player can have during the draft process. Now that this is known to the public, The next likely opportunity for To'oTo'o will be the NFL Draft Combine, where scouts and executives will be just as interested in his medical results as they are his on-field performance.
