Live Updates: Alabama Softball vs. Robert Morris
Maybe Alabama's 5-3 loss to Kennesaw State last week was a wake-up call.
Since the unexpected scar on the Crimson Tide resume, Alabama has turned in two straight shutout performances. Alabama downed Southern Miss 5-0 on Wednesday, and then blanked Robert Morris on Friday to open the Crimson Classic at Rhoads Stadium.
Alabama gets Robert Morris again for a morning matchup (11 a.m.), and will turn around and face Longwood in the afternoon (1:30 p.m.)
Jaala Torrence is in the circle for Alabama for the first game of the day. She struggled in the loss to Kennesaw State last week, allowing three runs on three hits in three innings. This is her first appearance since that rough outing.
Freshman shortstop Kenleigh Cahalan and senior Ally Shipman continue to lead the offense for Alabama. Both are hitting a team-high .398 and also lead the team with 17 hits each. Shipman is the team leader in RBIs with 14.
