The Return of Alabama Announcer Eli Gold: "Hey Coach" Live Updates
The Crimson Tide Sports Network, the Learfield home for Alabama Athletics puts on a weekly radio program, "Hey Coach", interviewing key members of the athletics staff from various sports.
Eli Gold is back in the saddle for Crimson Tide Sports Network as he has battled and beaten cancer. It's hosted at Baumhower's Victory Grille next to the University of Alabama. Gold is joined by Chris Stewart, Roger Hoover and other members of the network as they preview and highlight the notable events happening in Alabama Athletics.
The program can be heard on the TuneIn Radio App and with all the Crimson Tide Sports Network Affiliates. The program runs weekly on Thursdays from 6:30-8 p.m. during the winter but transitions to Monday evenings in the spring semester.
Each week the hosts get insight from coaches and take questions from callers and crowd members in the restaurant. It's typically an opportunity for the coaches to show a bit more personality than in their traditional media settings and over the years the program has produced a number of memorable moments.
Tonight's episode will feature a taped interview with Alabama soccer coach Wes Hart and Alabama football coach Nick Saban as well as an interview with Yea Alabama's Aaron Suttles.
