The 68-team field of the 2023 NCAA Tournament are slated to be announced on Sunday afternoon, with Alabama basketball being the favorite to be named the No. 1-overall seed.

Should the Crimson Tide be selected, it would not only the first time in program history that the team is a No. 1 overall seed, but a 1-seed in general.

Following Alabama's 82-63 win over Texas A&M in the SEC Tournament Championship Game on Sunday afternoon, head coach Nate Oats said that he doesn't even think about whether or not his team will the the No. 1-overall seed.

"I don't get into all that," Oats said. "We play the games in our schedule. You cover us a lot. You know how we like to schedule. If you don't play the best, I don't think you can be the best."
