Alabama softball is back on the road for the third time in the last four weekends.

The Crimson Tide (24-10, 2-4 SEC) opens the series at Missouri (21-14, 1-8 SEC) Friday night. It will be the first time Alabama's played a regular season series at Missouri since 2017.

Alabama lost its first two series of conference play at home against Arkansas and on the road last weekend against Tennessee. Missouri is one of three teams behind Alabama in the SEC standings, but senior Ally Shipman said the Crimson Tide isn't looking past the Tigers at all.

"You really can't take anybody for granted in the SEC," Shipman said. "Anybody can get you on any given day. So we're going to take what we learned from this past weekend and use it."

Head coach Patrick Murphy is from Iowa, and pitching coach Lance McMahon went to Missouri and has family in the area, so Murphy said he expects a lot of crimson to be in the stands all weekend at Mizzou Softball Stadium.

Montana Fouts has been the Friday night starter for Alabama for most of the season, but the team has growing confidence in redshirt sophomore Alex Salter, who picked up the win at Tennessee last weekend.

First pitch against Missouri was originally scheduled for 6 p.m. but has been pushed back to 6:32 p.m. because of severe weather in the area this afternoon. The game can be streamed on SEC Network+.
