TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — After a 4-0 start, Alabama baseball remains one of five undefeated teams left in the Southeastern Conference.

The Crimson Tide conducted a brutal sweep of Richmond over the course of opening weekend, scoring an average of 13 runs per game over the three-game stretch. On Tuesday, Alabama downed Tennessee Tech 7-4 to improve to its current record of 4-0.

Wednesday afternoon marks the Crimson Tide's fifth game of the season. At Sewell-Thomas Stadium, Alabama will face UT Martin. 

The Skyhawks split a four-game series against Belmont on opening weekend, winning its first two games before losing the final two. On Tuesday, UT Martin bested Murray State and moved to 3-2 on the season.

Last season, midweek games were a frequent issue for the Crimson Tide. In fact, Alabama lost to UT Martin 7-6, marking the team's first of multiple midweek losses that made a crucial difference when it came to the Crimson Tide's postseason resume.
