The fallout from former Alabama head coach Nick Saban's decision to retire from his position with the University continues on Thursday's edition of "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral".

We're blessed to welcome Mac Hereford into the show as he played for Saban and the Crimson Tide from 2016-19.

Hereford opens up the program by giving his immediate reaction to Wednesday's news and explaining what Saban has meant to his life. The former walk-on spent his youth at Nick Saban's Football Camp and then gave his college years to Saban to mold and shape him into the man he is today.

Hereford gives the program his opinion on the direction the program should look to go in the wake of Saban's retirement. Should the Crimson Tide program reach out to a former Saban assistant to ensure the Bama Standard doesn't slip?

The wide receiver was in the locker room when Saban opted to sub Tua Tagovailoa into the 2017 National Championship game for Jalen Hurts. He describes the bold move and the team's reaction to Saban's leadership in that moment and elaborates on how Saban treated his players, from the superstars down to the walk-ons.

We close the program by updating the audience on the latest rumors involving the future of Alabama football. Oregon coach Dan Lanning announced that he was staying in Eugene to continue to coach the Ducks. Which coaches are next up on Greg Byrne's list to replace Saban?
