Between Montana Fouts, Brandon Miller, Noah Clowney, Gabby Gladieux and Luisa Blanco, the weekly accolades from the Southeastern Conference this school year have featured a heavy dose of crimson.

For the fourth time this season, Fouts was named the SEC Pitcher of the Week as co-pitcher alongside Auburn's Maddie Penta. It should come as no surprise after her dominant performances in the circle against LSU over the weekend.

This is the 17th weekly honor of Fouts' career and 54th time overall a Crimson Tide pitcher has won SEC Pitcher of the week.

Fouts faced the 14th-ranked Tigers twice, winning both matchups and not allowing a run in either appearance for her final regular-season home series at Rhoads Stadium. It marked the sixth and seventh times this season that the Crimson Tide pitcher has thrown a complete game shutout against an SEC opponent.

Even on Friday night when she didn't have her best stuff, she was still able to shut down the Tigers with the help of her defense.

"It says a lot," Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy said after the game. "She's just really, really resilient and she makes the pitches when she needs to."

She was even more dominant on Sunday in her second matchup against LSU. She only allowed two hits and one walk, striking out nine.

The fifth-year pitcher now has 277 strikeouts on the season, which leads the SEC. Fouts has lowered her ERA down to 1.43.

Alabama has one series remaining in the regular season at Ole Miss beginning this Friday at 6 p.m. before postseason play begins with the SEC Tournament.
