LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The top-seeded Alabama Crimson Tide has reached the Sweet 16.

On Friday night at the KFC Yum! Center in downtown Louisville, No. 1 Alabama will face fifth-seeded San Diego State. Both the Crimson Tide and the Aztecs bring stifling defenses, but Alabama holds the edge in both offense and tempo.

Should the Crimson Tide prevail, it will advance to the Elite Eight for just the second time in program history and the first time since 2004.
