The College Football Playoff unanimously approved a selection format of "5 plus 7" for its 12-team playoff beginning in 2024 on Tuesday morning. As the conference membership is ever changing are there five conference champions that are worthy of playoff selection?
The new Big 12's highest rated team entering playoff selection was No. 14 Arizona, while the ACC, even though it's consumed the leftovers of the PAC-12, only had two teams ranked in the top-15 in No. 5 Florida State and No. 15 Louisville.
How many at-large teams will the SEC and Big 10 as there are only seven spots to fight for outside of the conference championship game.
The program moves on and debuts a new segment, "3, 2, 1" and this week's theme is "Newness" in the Alabama football program. The Crimson Tide welcomed three new coaches to start the week. Kalen DeBoer opened the transfer portal and snagged two new players for his roster and the Alabama football program is in day number one of the first "Fourth Quarter" program under a new head football coach.
Lastly the program discusses the SEC midweek basketball slate as No. 13 Alabama has arguably the most interesting game welcoming No. 24 Florida into Coleman Coliseum. Could LSU pull off its second upset in a row and help the Crimson Tide by beating No. 17 Kentucky at home?
