The NCAA Tournament is upon us as the "First Four" gets underway on Tuesday night in Dayton, Ohio. "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral" dives into some of our favorite NCAA Tournament memories as a child as that's what creates such affinity for the event today.

After walking down memory lane the program takes a microscope to the selection committee as some of the draws make no sense. Why is the East bracket so unusually loaded while the other three are sufficiently balanced? We examine certain matchups with interesting storylines and suggest the committee made some decisions based on viewer intrigue.

The Monday edition of the show ended with complaining over the transfer portal opening as its unfair for teams that still have post season hopes and dreams. The Alabama Crimson Tide struck quickly as on Tuesday guard Houston Mallettte out of Pepperdine announced his intention to transfer to Tuscaloosa.

Let's dive into Mallette's game and skillset and talk about how he may fit in to next year's Crimson Tide team.

The program then turns to tonight's "First Four" action and makes our picks for Tuesday's double-header.

We round out today's show by highlighting Alabama's Pro Day on Wednesday as the Crimson Tide will show off its draft eligible players to NFL scouts and decision-makers.
