The Thursday edition of "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral" was blessed enough to be joined by BamaCentral's Will Miller.

The show was also fortunately, or unfortunately depending on your perspective, live during the second half of Alabama's opening game of the Women's College World Series.

Unfortunately, the Tide fell to the Tennessee Volunteers for the fourth time this season, sending Alabama into the loser's bracket in Oklahoma City.

Miller and Gaither discuss the state of the softball program under head coach Patrick Murphy. He's taken the program to the Women's College World Series 14 times during his tenure, but has only won the championship once in 2012.

The pair get into the impressive seasons from freshmen Kenleigh Cahalan and junior Jaala Torrence as they appear to be the backbone of the program next season.

The Alabama Crimson Tide football program saw the final members of its 2023 team enroll in Tuscaloosa over the weekend and freshmen Keon Keely drew headlines over his jersey assignment.

Keely was given #31 as just a freshman, the same number vacated by super star Will Anderson. Can the nation's top edge rusher live up to the hype and fill Anderson's shoes?

The show rounded out on Thursday by discussing Crimson Tide baseball. Alabama is set to host its first NCAA tournament regional round since 2006.

Miller gave the listeners insight on how the Tide was seeded for the NCAA Tournament and even predicted a favorable outcome for Alabama fans this weekend.
