TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The first game time of Alabama Football's 2023-24 season is set.

The Crimson Tide is set to host the Texas Longhorns as part of a home-and-home series continued from last season's meeting in Austin.

Round 2 at Bryant-Denny Stadium is scheduled for Sept. 9. The game will be at 6 p.m. on ESPN — announced on Tuesday morning.

Last season's game was thrilling. The Longhorns had Alabama on the ropes before the heroics of former quarterback Bryce Young took over — leading the Crimson Tide on a game-winning drive capped off by a game-winning field goal from Will Reichard.

Alabama won 20-19.

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers will get another shot at the Crimson Tide after missing the majority of last year's game following a big hit from Dallas Turner in the first quarter. Before that, Ewers was 9-for-12 with 134 yards.

It will also be the first appearance of Arch Manning in Tuscaloosa — the No. 1 overall player in the Class of 2023.

If 2022's game was any indication, fans should expect another exciting matchup in 2023-24.

It won't be easy to get in. The star-studded contest is one of the hottest tickets of the entire 2023-24 college football season — with the cheapest tickets currently coming in at over $300 already on the secondary market.

The other home games on the 2023-24 schedule include the likes of Ole Miss, Arkansas, Tennessee and LSU.
