In this story:

It's a great Thursday as we welcome Will Miller of BamaCentral into "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral" to talk about all kinds of sports topics.

The Alabama Crimson Tide football program hasn't started Rose Bowl practice yet, but there's still plenty to talk about.

We initially open by talking about the 2024 football schedule as the Southeastern Conference spent two hours releasing and diagnosing it on Wednesday night.

The program detours into professional baseball as Miller analyzes Shohei Ohtani's contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Circling back to football we touch on interesting comments former Auburn quarterback Cam Newton made about the Tigers place in the state and conference.

The NCAA recently announced athletes can take a second transfer without penalty, allowing several people immediate eligibility and continuing the wide open nature of college athletics.

Alabama redshirt sophomore quarterback Jalen Milroe announced on Wednesday that he would be returning for the 2024 season, ensuring the Tide will have some experience under center going into a difficult year.

Miller takes the floor and asks about UFC 296 as Leon Edwards is fighting the always controversial Colby Covington for the Welterweight Championship. Edwards has already successfully defended his championship once, can he do it again against Covington who hasn't fought in 21 months?

We finish the show with Ashley Moody. The Florida Attorney General is launching an investigation into the College Football Playoff because they left Florida State on the sideline in favor of Alabama and Texas.

Keep up with each show on Youtube, Facebook and Twitter. Shows can also be heard on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Amazon.

Happy Birthday Jalen Milroe and Auburn Cheating on The Joe Gaither Show
