What Nick Saban Means to the People of Alabama: Just a Minute

The championships speak for themselves, but what Nick Saban and his family did in the Tuscaloosa community and around the state will leave a lasting impact.

Welcome to BamaCentral’s "Just a Minute," a daily video series featuring Alabama beat writers Katie Windham and Blake Byler. During the week, the they will provide their take on a topic concerning the Crimson Tide or the landscape of college sports.

Watch the video above as Windham discusses the legacy of Nick Saban in the state of Alabama. The championships and on-field accomplishments speak for themselves, but what Saban and his family have been able to do in the Tuscaloosa community (particularly after the 2011 tornado) and around the state will have a lasting impact. For this reporter that grew up in Alabama, it's been a gift to get to cover the final seasons of Saban's career.
