When Nick Saban talks "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral" listens. The Thursday edition of the program focuses heavily on the Alabama head coach's time in front of the media on Wednesday as his demeanor lit up the Naylor-Stone Media room.

The scorching Alabama heat served as a distraction for the program on Wednesday and Saban addressed his team's need to be able to sustain focus throughout the length of practice and games. If CBS and ESPN are going to continue to put on four hour productions for each game day, the Tide has to build its endurance to compete at the highest level throughout the contests.

The seven-time national champion then focused on the offensive line, praising Terrence Ferguson and Seth McLaughlin specifically for their growth and mindset entering fall camp. If Alabama really has six or seven starting caliber offensive lineman how will the Tide prioritize who gets to play?

Saban highlighted baseball superstar Pete Rose's visit to the team and revealed his message to the team centered around his notorious competitive spirit. We spend time dissecting the positives of Rose's playing past but wonder if the program missed out on significant lessons that could have been passed down as well.

The program wraps by hitting a few football headlines and then dips into Alabama softball as the program announced two changes to its coaching staff for the upcoming season.
