Judge Jennifer Schwartz ruled on Tuesday that Henry Ruggs III will serve 3-10 years in prison for his involvement in a fatal wreck in November 2021. Ruggs III pled guilty to charges of DUI resulting in death and vehicular manslaughter.

The former Alabama and Las Vegas Raiders receiver was reportedly driving 156 mph at the time of the crash and had a blood alcohol level of 0.161, more than twice the legal limit in Nevada.

Tina Tintor and her dog Max were struck by Ruggs III's vehicle and died in the aftermath of the wreck.

"To the parents and family of Miss Tintor, I sincerely apologize for the pain and suffering my actions the morning of November 2 2021 have caused you, your family and those who knew and loved Miss Tina and Max," said Ruggs III in court on Wednesday. "I also let my family, teammates and those who believed in me down with my actions and hurt so many. Over the past 21 months I've searched within to find the answers to explain myself and my behavior that day. I have no excuse and pray that accepting responsibly with my guilty plea can allow me to begin the healing process and allow everyone involved to heal also."
