BamaCentral Instant Analysis: No. 9 Alabama 7, No. 5 Auburn 4

The Crimson Tide will play on in the SEC tournament after a dominant win over the Tigers on Thursday afternoon.

HOOVER, Ala. — From devastation to demolition.

Alabama baseball suffered a severely disappointing loss to No. 1 seed Florida on Wednesday night.

The Crimson Tide responded in a big way — eliminating the No. 5 seeded Auburn Tigers in a 7-4 victory.

"A little bit better feeling than last night," interim head coach Jason Jackson said. "The guys did a great job of coming out today on kind of a quick turnaround for both teams. We felt like coming into this game, whoever could bring that energy early on and get out to an early lead was going to have an advantage. We knew we had [McMillan] on the mound and he was going to give us a great start, and he certainly did that but we were able to get on the board early with [Seidl's] home run."

"It's a credit to these guys after last night. [...] You could tell this morning when we were in our pregame stuff, they were loose as could be and we were riding on the bus over here, and you could just feel it — they had kind of turned the page. We said, let's make sure we don't bring it to the yard with us today, and you could tell right away that they didn't."

Alabama will be in another win-or-go-home contest on Friday night against either the Gators or No. 4 seed Vanderbilt.
