TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — One late night turns into another.

Fresh off a walk-off victory over Nicholls on Friday night, Alabama baseball will meet a familiar foe in the winner's bracket of the Tuscaloosa Regional on another late Saturday night at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.

The hosting Crimson Tide (41-19, 16-14 SEC) will take on the No. 3 seed Troy Trojans in an in-state battle — the winner advancing to the regional final.

Alabama beat the Trojans 10-2 in Tuscaloosa on April 4. The Crimson Tide met Troy for a second time at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery on May 9 — winning that contest 7-2.

The Trojans (40-20, 18-12 SBC) took down No. 2 seed Boston College 11-10 in the opening game of the Tuscaloosa Regional — Alabama defeated Nicholls 4-3 in dramatic fashion late Friday night.

Saturday night's winner will be one win away from Super Regionals. The loser will have a much tougher task — needing three straight wins in two days.

First pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
