BamaCentral Courtside: Alabama 111, Eastern Kentucky 67

The Crimson Tide filled up the box score in a get right opportunity.

The Alabama Crimson Tide basketball program was desperate to get back in the winning column after dropping its last three games in a row.

That's exactly how the program performed on Saturday in Coleman Coliseum, as the Crimson Tide dominated the Eastern Kentucky Colonels 111-67.

Alabama hit their A-Sun opponents right in the mouth putting up a 61-32 halftime lead to cruise to an easy non-conference victory.

It's easy to disparage the Alabama effort by highlighting the Colonel, now, 4-8 record and their poor propensity to defend the 3-point line, however the result was still rather important for the Crimson Tide as they were almost able to dominate for a full 40-minutes.

Alabama saw seven different players combine to make 19, 3-point shots and were able to mitigate its recent fouling issues as well as kept its turnover mark to just a. reasonable 10.

"Every win is a good win. It's good to get back on our home court and get a win. It's just good for our confidence, last three games in a row. It's just tough in the locker room. Everyone's trying to figure out what's going on, but games like this kind of get us on a roll and give us our confidence back," said Alabama forward Grant Nelson.

The Tide now gets a small break for Christmas and then will have one more opportunity to build more confidence before conference play begins. Alabama takes on Liberty in the CM Newton Classic in the BJCC in Birmingham next Saturday in the final non-conference matchup of the season.
