TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Even though the two programs have a lot of respect for each other, Alabama's matchup against Missouri inside Coleman Coliseum on Tuesday night was a testy affair with the Crimson Tide coming out on top 93-75.

Alabama head coach Nate Oats said there isn't any beef between the teams, but that it was just two programs fighting for wins in SEC play.

"Missouri gave us everything we could handle," Oats said. "I thought the way they closed the first half was great on their part and wasn't very good on our part... I thought we did a good job closing this thing."

The Crimson Tide (12-5, 4-0 SEC) led by as much as 11 in the second half, but the Tigers (8-9, 0-4 SEC) trimmed the lead down to two points at the break. Missouri cut it to one point at the 13:44 mark in the second half when Sean East II hit two free throws after Alabama's Grant Nelson was called for a technical foul.

But sophomore guard Rylan Griffen provided the spark Alabama needed. He made four 3-pointers over the final nine minutes to pull away from Missouri for good.

Griffen and Aaron Estrada scored 21 points apiece, which was an SEC high for Estrada and season high for Griffen. Estrada also snagged a team-leading eight rebounds and four assists.

It was the first time Alabama has crossed the 90-point threshold in SEC play. Next up, the Crimson Tide will face a tough road test at No. 6 Tennessee.
