BamaCentral Courtside: No. 15 Alabama 100, Texas A&M 75
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama basketball dominated yet another SEC team at home on Saturday afternoon, defeating Texas A&M by a final score of 100-75.
It was the eighth time this season the Crimson Tide has scored at least 100 points in a game, extending the program record set much earlier in the season.
Leading the way for Alabama was Mark Sears, who is continuing to have an All-SEC and even All-American-type year. He scored 23 points for his 16th game of at least 20 this season, which hasn't been done by an Alabama player since Collin Sexton in 2018.
Behind Sears were Latrell Wrightsell and Ryland Griffen, who scored 17 and 16 points respectively. In total, Alabama nailed 18 of its 44 attempts from beyond the arc.
The win moves the Crimson Tide to 18-7 on the season, and improved its record in league play to 10-2. Regardless of results around the league in today's games, Alabama will maintain at least a half-game lead for first place in the conference.
Next up, Alabama has a second consecutive home game, this one against a Florida team who has beaten a host of the top teams in the SEC already this year. The game will tip off at 6 p.m. CT on Wednesday, and will be aired on ESPN2.
