How to Watch: No. 24 Alabama Basketball at Georgia
Alabama basketball playing a road game at Georgia is going to trigger some bad memories for Crimson Tide fans.
The last time Alabama went on the road for a game in Athens was in 2022. In that game, Alabama suffered an 82-76 loss to the Bulldogs. It was Georgia's only SEC win that entire season. The loss is the worst KenPom loss in Alabama history, as Georgia finished the season with a KenPom ranking of No. 219.
This week, Nate Oats and the Crimson Tide will try to avoid that same fate albeit against a much better Georgia team than the one that took the court in 2022.
This year, Georgia has already compiled four wins in conference play and has a winning record in the league. Head coach Mike White overhauled the roster from a season ago, with the majority of contributors being either transfers or freshmen.
Alabama currently sits at 6-1 in league play, holding sole possession of first place in the SEC with a half-game lead over Tennessee. If the Crimson Tide is going to compete for the regular season league title, coming away with a win in Athens is very important.
