March is here, which means it's tournament season across college basketball.

The format of the tournament is the same as the men's tournament. The top four seeds of the tournament get a double-bye and don't have to play until the quarterfinals on Friday, while the next eight seeds get a bye and don't have to play until the second round on Thursday. Only the bottom four seeds have to play in Wednesday night's first round.

The Crimson Tide finished a very strong season on a 3-game winning streak, securing the double-bye and the 4-seed in the tournament. Alabama's final regular season record was 23-9, including a 10-6 mark in conference play.

It's the first time the program has finished a season with at least 10 wins in SEC play since 1997-98.

Alabama tied with Tennessee with a 10-6 record for the 4-seed, but the Crimson Tide's win over the Lady Vols gave it the tiebreaker to secure the double-bye.

Alabama's first game of the tournament will be the second game of the day on Friday, against either 5-seed Tennessee, 12-seed Kentucky, or 13-seed Georgia. The Crimson Tide's opponent will be decided by earlier games in the tournament. The game will tip off roughly around 1:30 p.m. CT, or 30 minutes after the first game of the day concludes.

The first three days of the tournament, including Alabama's first game, will be broadcast on SEC Network. The semifinals on Saturday will air on ESPNU, and the championship game on Sunday will air on ESPN.
