2025 Five-Star Edge-Rusher Decommits From Alabama

Another major prospect has chosen to decommit from Alabama and Kalen DeBoer.

In the wake of Nick Saban's retirement and Kalen DeBoer's hiring, another top prospect has decommitted from the Crimson Tide.

On Wednesday, class of 2025 five-star Zion Grady, the nation's No. 1 edge-rusher per 247sports.com, decommitted from Alabama.

A 6-foot-4, 225-pound in-state star from Charles Henderson High School in Troy, Alabama, Grady committed to the Crimson Tide in November over Auburn, Florida State, Georgia and others.

Grady's decommitment comes a day after defensive end Javion Hilson, the No. 93 player overall, announced his decommitment from Alabama. Also decommitting from the Crimson Tide were four-star offensive linemen Mason Short and Dontrell Glover, five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench and four-star defensive lineman Antonio Coleman.

Alabama’s 2025 class is now down to two, with four-star running back Anthony Rogers and four-star athlete Myles Johnson, both with in-state ties, remaining in the fold.
