Alabama Cornerback Terrion Arnold Announces NFL Draft Decision
It's official, Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback Terrion Arnold is entering the 2024 NFL Draft.
Depending on how his draft process goes, he could be a first-round selection as cornerback is considered a prize position in the league. One of the players he'll be competing against to be the top player taken among defensive backs is former teammate Kool-Aid McKinstry.
Arnold led Alabama with five interceptions this past season, when he was named a first-team All-America by the Associated Press, and second-team selection by the American Football Coaches Association and The Sporting News. The redshirt sophomore was also named All-SEC by league coaches, and was a second-team pick by media.
The 0.38 interceptions per game average was second in the conference and 15th in the nation. Arnold also had 16 passes defended for the league lead, which topped the SEC. The 1.2 average was second in the league and eighth nationally.
Arnold was credited with 61 tackles, including 6.5 for a loss and one sack, and 69 return yards. He also had a forced fumble.
The standout defensive back made his announcement on Instagram.
